# Hosting and Data Residency

> Choose a Hercules app hosting region, understand where platform and AI data is processed, and explore enterprise self-hosting and data residency options.

Choose what country your app's backend and database are hosted in. Enterprise customers can also self-host.

### Which hosting regions are available?

### Where is my data processed?

Your app's backend and database run in your selected region. Hercules also processes data on its own platform infrastructure in us-east-1 in Virginia, and through providers used for AI and other services.

### Can I self-host Hercules or my apps?

Yes. It is possible to self-host both the apps you build on Hercules and the Hercules platform. Please reach out to [sales@hercules.app](mailto:sales@hercules.app) to learn more.

### Can I export my data?

Yes. See [Export Data](/docs/apps/export-data) for database exports. You can also download your app's code through the [Code Editor](/docs/apps/code-editor).
