Upgrade to Hercules Auth 2.0

Upgrade to Hercules Auth 2.0 card with a primary Upgrade button and a summary of new capabilities

Hercules Auth 2.0 greatly enhances the sign in and auth capabilities you can add to your app. New capabilities include:

  • Pick your sign-in methods. Choose which providers your users see, including Google, Microsoft, Apple, GitHub, email, and passkeys.
  • Your name on social sign-in. Connect your own OAuth credentials so your app's name appears on Google, Microsoft, and Apple sign-in screens instead of Hercules.
  • Custom auth domain. Host the sign-in page on your own domain like auth.yourapp.com.

All apps created before May 5, 2026 will have to upgrade to Hercules 2.0. The upgrade takes ~5-10 seconds. All existing users will be logged out, however, all existing user information will be preserved.

To get started, open the Branding tab on any eligible app and click Upgrade now. Learn more in the upgrade guide.
